Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 26, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how sitebook ("sitebook", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar storage technologies on the marketing site at sitebook.app and the dashboard at dashboard.sitebook.app (together, the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. The
ePrivacy Directive treats similar storage technologies — browser
localStorage, sessionStorage, and
IndexedDB — the same way for consent purposes. We use the
word "cookie" throughout this policy to mean any of these.
2. How we categorise cookies
We use two categories:
- Strictly necessary. Required for the Service to work — signing you in, processing your payment, remembering your cookie choice. Always on. Under ePrivacy these do not require consent.
- Analytics. Optional, anonymous measurement of product usage. Off by default. Only set if you accept them in the cookie banner.
We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking cookies.
3. The cookies we set
Strictly necessary
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sitebook.cookieconsent.v1 | localStorage | sitebook.app and dashboard.sitebook.app | Remembers your cookie preferences so we don't ask again on the next visit. | 12 months |
sb-<project-ref>-auth-token | localStorage | Supabase (dashboard only) | Keeps you signed in after authentication. Set by our authentication provider, Supabase. | Until sign-out or session expiry |
Analytics (only with your consent)
We do not currently load any analytics cookies. When we enable product analytics (PostHog, EU region), this page will be updated in advance to list every cookie and storage key, and the banner will re-prompt for your consent before any analytics cookie is set.
4. Third-party cookies during checkout
When you start a purchase from our pricing page, you are redirected to
Lemon Squeezy's hosted checkout
(lemonsqueezy.com). Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record
and sets its own cookies on its own domain to process the payment and
meet anti-fraud and tax requirements. Those cookies are governed by
Lemon Squeezy's privacy and cookie practices, not by this policy. We do not set or read cookies on
lemonsqueezy.com.
5. Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie choices at any time:
- Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page on the marketing site to reopen the preferences dialog.
-
Clear your browser's site data for
sitebook.appanddashboard.sitebook.appto reset your choice — the banner will appear again on your next visit. - Most browsers let you block or delete cookies from their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies (including the sign-in session) will break parts of the Service.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and you have not already made a cookie choice, we treat the signal as a rejection of non-essential cookies and do not show the banner. You can override this at any time from Cookie settings.
6. Consent record
Your choice is stored on your device for 12 months. After that we ask again. The consent record itself is treated as strictly necessary under ePrivacy. We do not link it to your account or to any cross-site identifier.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change the cookies we set, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. If the change adds non-essential cookies, the banner will re-prompt for consent.
